Based in an area known as Dulles (in Loudoun County, Virginia), we’re close to the sights and attractions of Washington, D.C. and far enough from the city to allow for plenty of deer and open space for roaming cattle – not to mention aircraft all along our spacious skies above!

The company got started in 1999 but had few product offerings. Marketing to a few Real Estate companies and financial shops, an entrepreneur got the edge to expand. A little creative gadget (know as the mortgage pi wheel) generated enough interest to inspire the design and printing of other “smart tools,” and Smart Designs was born (Recently, the name changed to Smart Designs Publishing, LLC.). Then we discovered that great gifts come out of creative, useful & educational items.

Now that we have great suppliers as partners, we enjoy working with other creative minds –helping them improve their marketing and get their imprint on their favorite items.
